This week, I am going to talk about sandwiches. I love to eat sandwiches! Whenever I go out, sandwiches are the easiest foods to pack. You can also make sandwiches for a quick meal if you don’t know how to cook. Sandwiches are extremely convenient and diverse; they can easily be modified to make them match your taste buds. There are many recipes out there, but here are some that stood out to me and made me hungry.
I really love French bread because of how crunchy the outside is. The main ingredients in this sandwich are ground beef, cheese, onion, and mushroom. This sandwich isn’t super convenient because you have to cook the ground beef, bake the bread, and other things, but it definitely looks like it would taste better than a sandwich thrown together with cold cuts of ham. Definitely worth the effort. If you really enjoy a meaty sandwich, then I would say this sandwich is for you.
For those of you who are vegetarians, this sandwich may fit you better. It is 100% meet free! The main ingredients include avocados, goat cheese, and spinach. It is extremely healthy, so if you are going on a diet or perhaps just looking out for your health, this is the sandwich for you.
Ever stuck at home alone craving a sandwich? But when you look in the fridge, there are the ingredients to make every kind of sandwich in the world, but -NO BREAD?!?! What in the world are you going to do? Bread is the #1 most important ingredient when making a sandwich. Well, here is a link to a website that list 15 unique ways to make a sandwich without bread.
Happy new year everyone, let’s welcome the year of the GOAT! Most of you guys don’t know this, but I’m from Westminster which is full of Asians. This week, I’m suppose to talk about my community, so i’m going to take about all the different types of food Chinese people eat during the new year. A lot of the food we eat have a special symbolic meaning behind them. For example, fish is a really popular dish during the new year because the word for fish in Chinese is similar to the Chinese word for surplus. This is suppose to represent having a surplus of money, food, or anything that you want at the end of the year because it means that throughout the year, you did not run out of what you want. And if you have a surplus at the end of the year, you will have a better start the following year. Apples are also very popular during the Chinese New Year because apples sound similar to the word for peace, so it represents a peaceful new year. Oranges are also very lucky because the word for oranges is rhymes with the word gold. Although there are many good luck foods that you should buy for to welcome the New Year, there are also foods that you should avoid. Porridge is something you shouldn’t eat because it is considered poor people food. Eating that would mean you want to be a poor person for the rest of the year. Obviously, these aren’t all the lucky/ unlucky foods out there. There are lots more out there, but regardless of what you eat, I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous new year!
This week, I am going to blog about Alkaline and Acidic foods. If you don’t already know what they are, Alkaline foods are foods with a basic ph (above 7) and Acidic foods are foods with an acidic ph (below 7). Normally, our blood is suppose to have a Ph around 7.365. It is very important to maintain the ph level of your blood because if your blood ph level even drops down to 6.9, it could result in death or coma. Much of the foods we eat from fast food joints are extremely acidic. Here is a link to a website that charts the acidity levels of different types of foods from different fast food places. Eating acidic foods once in a while is fine because your body will naturally get rid of the excess acidity in your blood, but if you constantly eat foods that lower the ph level in your blood, it could damage your kidneys and lead to acidosis. Acidic foods include canned/glazed fruit, milk products, and almost all meat products. Alkaline foods include most fruits and vegetables, and are much healthier for you. It is also important to note that some foods, such as lemons, are acidic outside the body, but have an alkaline affect on blood once metabolized. Similarly, milk, which is considered a basic liquid, has an acidic affect on the ph of blood once metabolized. A healthy diet should contain around 60% alkaline and 40% acidic foods. As we eat food throughout the day, we should be more mindful of what we are consuming, and make sure to stay healthy. I hope all my viewers out there become more knowledgeable after reading this post and eat more alkaline foods. Say healthy guys. 😀
Hello everyone and welcome back to my second post! This week, I am going to post about a song that relates to food. The name of that song is “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. This song is related to food because it is about how this guy loves his girlfriend so much right now, and he will continue to love her just as much when they are old. This is similar to how everyone has to eat food not only right now, but they will have to eat just as much when they are old too. This song also relates to food because it is a great song to listen to while cooking. There are certain parts in the lyrics that remind you that food is cooking and that you should check up on it. For example, lyrics such as “Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?” remind you that you need to make sure the food is seasoned properly with the right amount of salt and sugar or else your mouth won’t recognize the taste. And, lyrics such as “it’s evergreen” remind you that if you have any vegetables cooking and you want to eat green vegetables, you better make sure the fire isn’t on too high or else you might end up eating black vegetables. You could also play this song in the background if you happen to be cooking dinner for your wife or girlfriend because it is a soft romantic song.
Hi everyone, and WELCOME to my blog! ☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆ I decided to start a blog about food because FOOD is the most amazing thing in the world! I love food, YOU love food, WE ALL love food! I eat food all the time~ There are just so many different types of food out there. Everything looks so yummy~, I wish I could eat all day without getting full, but alas -it is impossible. I want to travel the world and try all sorts of food, but I am only a poor high school student who can’t afford it. Instead, i’m stuck looking at pictures of food on my phone. Anyways, enough about me, let me tell you what this blog is going to be all about. I will blog about all different types of food (obviously). From Asian to Mexican, from seafood to snacks, from chicken to beef, from sweets to chips, from fruits to vegetables, from typical to exotic, from boba to coffee, and everything else in between. Most of the time, I will probably re-blog other people’s recipes that I really want to eat. AND, I will ALWAYS include at least one picture with every blog. Whenever I go online and look at food, I always get SUPPPPER HUNGRY, and so, my goal with this blog is to make your stomachs growl too~ 😀 That’s all for now, and I hope you enjoy this lovely picture of red curry coconut and ginger infused steamed clams.
